Seagate Online Audio Program

Challenge:

Seagate wanted to create a communication vehicle for the company's internal web site to apprise its 80,000 employees worldwide of news within the company and the industry. The initial idea was to produce a 'radio show' that would include stories and regularly scheduled features.

Solution:

Greene Creative Services developed and produced "LiveWire," a 10-minute, monthly audio program, promoted to employees as "your online audio source for the latest on Seagate and the impact (we're) making around the world." GCS worked with Seagate's agency, the Kenwood Group, to design and implement the program. With in-house recording and production facilities, GCS was able to take over ever aspect of the program and turn it around within a few days each month for a very reasonable fee.

Seagate employees were invited to compete in a monthly online "LiveWire" quiz; winners were interviewed on the program and received prizes such as an X-Box or MP3 player. This incentive approach to marketing "LiveWire" boosted not the only number of employees regularly listening to the show, but kept them attuned to the information presented in each program.

Summary:

Seagate wanted to produce a monthly audio newsletter for employees. GCS took care of every aspect, from inception through final product, meeting or exceeding every deadline and expectation.
